CONTEXT

Physical dynamic transformed into a competitive data asset

Flexpro holds events where the “Nerve Test” — a coordination and precision challenge — is used for engagement. Despite being competitive, the operation was manual, resulting in times recorded on paper, a lack of reliable ranking, and lost commercial opportunities.

THE PROBLEM

The lack of digital infrastructure led to measurement imprecision, difficulty in identifying correct rankings, and a disconnect between performance and participant data. Without precision, there is no credibility; without data, there is no continuity of value.

OBJECTIVE

Build an application to record times with millisecond precision, generate automatic real-time rankings, display a live podium, and structure participant data as qualified leads.

APPROACH AND AI IN PRACTICE

The focus was on the minimum necessary for perfect live operation. The Figma design was integrated via MCP with development using Claude Code. The AI acted as a co-builder, executing ranking logic, APIs, and data manipulation in record time.

ENGINEERING DECISIONS

Local Storage (JSON)

Using records.json to eliminate external infrastructure dependence and simplify deployment.

Integrated Stopwatch

Time controlled directly in the admin panel, eliminating manual transcription errors.

Centralized Operation

Data entered by the operator to ensure consistency and speed during the event.

Using MCP to ensure visual fidelity and drastically reduce rework.

USER EXPERIENCE

We prioritized performance communication: a real-time visual stopwatch, dynamic podium (top 3), and automatically updated ranking. The system stops being just a record and becomes part of the attraction.
